African Excursions is proud to be able to offer to its clients a number of unique side trips that can be added to any photographic or birding safari. Add something extra onto your trip!

San Bushman Cultural Experience - Spend some time with the unique San Bushmen of the Kalahari Desert. We lived in Ghanzi, Botswana, which is the center of the remaining population of one of the last of the hunter-gatherer societies. We can set up a short trip to the Ghanzi area where you see first-hand how the Bushmen have survived in the harsh desert environment.

The No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency Tour - Take a one or two day tour of the world of Mma Ramotswe in Gaborone.

Other Cultural experiences - World heritage site Tsodilo Hills, with its ancient rock art or cultural walking experience winds you along the Okavango River with members of the Temacane Trust.

Hunting - You can spend a couple of days hunting on a game farm teeming with kudu, wildebeest and other trophies. There are also activities for those not interested in hunting.

Fishing - There is excellent fishing in the Okavango River for tigerfish, bream, barbel, and African pike. We know a great little fishing lodge with affordable rates.

Adventure Walk - Walk across the Makgadikgadi Pans while helping to raise money for worthwhile charities in Botswana.
